You must prepare the ribbon for your accessory. Straighten it on a flat surface.

Make the edges straight
Even if the ribbon is cut carefully, you need to make the edges straight to prevent the threads from coming out.
Strike a match and carefully bring it close to the edges of the ribbon.
Add some clamps
You will need the pliers and a couple of clamps.
Take the edge of the ribbon and one clamp.
Using the pliers clamp it on the ribbon.

Fasten the extension cord
We fasten a chain from one side and a clasp from another side.
We attach the extension cord to a ring on one of the clamps using the pliers.
