How to draw a wooden chair (+ coloring)

Chair is a necessary thing in the house. It’s a difficult thing to teach the child how to sit on it. The children are very restless and always want to do their own way.

Our instruction will be useful in this case. You and your child can sitdown and you can tell your child what this piece of furniture consists of and you can teach your child how to sit properly on it.

You can look at the chairs in your house and add some more details while drawing.

You need:
1

Additional figures

You need a ruler to draw any piece of furniture, because there are a lot of straight lines.

Draw the basis in the form of a rectangle. Pay attention to the rectangle. It’s being slightly tilted to the left.

Additional figures

Add one more straight rectangle to the first figure at the bottom.

2

Erasing the horizontal lines

All horizontal lines must be erased. There is a small angle between  the vertical lines. It marks the area where the seat will be drawn.

3

Adding the tilted lines

You should add the horizontal lines again at this stage, but they should be tilted to make the drawing look more realistic.

Adding the tilted lines

The three lines are tilted in the same way.

Adding the tilted lines

Look at your drawing when the details will be added. It must be look like a big rectangle which is broken in half.

5

Adding the second pair of the chair's legs

Look at your drawing carefully, before starting to draw the next detail. The additional figure must be positioned in such a way to make the upper left corners be on one line. Draw the diagonal through the corners if you think you can’t do this right.

9

Seat's upholstery

The upholstery is used to make it comfortable for people to sit on the chair. Draw it with the help of the rounded line, because this item is made of cloth. The higher the upholstery, the softer the chair. You must also correct the legs’ form.

Chair's back

The last detail is the chair’s back. You need it because it holds your body and prevents you from falling. Draw three lines and correct the chair’s upper part.
