Boys like to play pirates and agents. Instead of weapons they use tree branches. Now you can even find the toy guns and please your child.
Drawing a gun together with your child will help to distract him from the game, when it’s necessary to sit at home. Your child will also learn that this weapon has a lot of important details.
Basis of the gun
You need a ruler because you will have to draw straight lines of the details. The basis is a simplified version of the gun with a grip and a gunpoint. The external part of the grip is rounded.
Grip's overlay
Its lines should be parallel to the lines of the basis.
Gun's slide
The slide is a part of the gun, where the bullet’s coming out happens. It looks like a rectangle.
Trigger
It starts the mechanism in the gun’s slide and the shot happens. It’s on the right.
Return mechanism
This mechanism doesn’t allow the powder in the bullet to ignite prematurely. The shells fall out of the gun through it – the remnants of bullets. It’s located in the lower part of the slide under the barrel.
Frame
You need it for a clear parts’ division. It’s a basis of a gun. There will be only frame if you dismantle it.
Slide's tube
It’s under the recoil mechanism. Divide the large detail onto two small ones. The powder which wasn’t used during the shot pours through the tube.
Slide catch
It helps to keep the trigger in order the weapon not shoot. It’s located in the upper part of the slide above the grip.
Fuse
You need to remove the gun from the fuse to shoot. Draw the trigger in the hole for the index finger.
Small details
Draw a rear sight on the top which helps a person to target, and a button for releasing the overlay.
Elements of the slide stop
Draw a few vertical lines in the rectangle, because the slide stop looks like a grate.
Coloring
Iron and wood are most often used in the guns . That’s why use black or grey colors and shades of brown.
