If your child doesn’t know what is muffin, you can tell that it’s a pastry of a round form. It’s a mini-cake in fact. The cakes’ tops are often decorated with cream or frosting. More often, the muffin can be seen in the special paper cups.
The muffin’s basis is a square. Draw this figure using your ruler, because it must be even.
Adding the cup's contours
We must show that our muffin is round, because we draw it from the side. Draw two ovals at the top and at the bottom of the basis. The second figure is much smaller, because the muffin is gradually narrowing at the bottom. We suggest you to do the following to make it be it the center: measure and mark 2 or 3 cm. from the left and right sides of the basis. Then you can draw the oval within these limits.
The ovals are connected with the help of straight lines to form a trapeze.
Removing the basis
The contours of the pastry are ready. You can carefully erase the basis.
Erase the inner part of the lower oval, because the muffin is opaque and it means that we can’t see this part of it.
Cup's side lines
We also need to erase the side lines of the muffin, because they are not perfectly even.
The cup is made of a special paper, it’s being baked in it. The muffin grows in the oven a little bit. The cup’s edges are bending. Connect the top and the bottom again with the help of curved lines.
Erasing the lower part
Muffins are usually small. That’s why, we will slightly modify its shape. Separate about 1 cm. of the lower part with the help of the horizontal line.
Erase the unnecessary part to get a small cup.
Draw the ribbed surface
The cup’s surface is ribbed. We draw it by using the vertical lines.
These parts are bending as the form itself. The only central line remains even.
Correcting the upper part
Connect lines of the surface with the help of wavy details, which will make the drawing look more voluminous.
First layer of cream
We start drawing the tastiest part – it’s a cream. It’s put on the muffin’s top with the help of a pastry bag, the cream is laid with beautiful smooth layers thanks to it.
Draw the upper part with the help of the curved lines. Draw them carefully.
Complete the first layer with the help of the beautiful tip.
Draw the second layer of cream
Draw a curved line, marking the end of the first layer.
Make the top more voluminous by adding another line. Don’t forget about the smooth curves.
The more lines of cream you draw, the more beautiful will be your muffin.
You can see the cup’s line if you look attentively. It must be erased. Choose the thin eraser not to mar the drawing.
Draw additional lines on the cream. Add the finishing touch at the bottom – the rim on the cup.
The cup’s paper is usually of dark colors, the muffin is brown. The most interesting thing is to color the cream. You can mix several shades of the same color to get a bright picture.
