Firstly, we should draw the figures which will help us to draw a chameleon. It’s two circles. First circle is big, second one is small and it intersects with the first figure.
Draw the body shape. The lower part starts from the head, and the upper one starts from the circle’s line. Draw the upper line down, it smoothly goes into the tail.
Remove unnecessary lines
Erase almost the whole big circle, leave only the upper part.
Draw the tail line down, then make it twisted. The tail narrows gradually to the tip.
Draw the thin tip. It is not in contact with another lines.
Correct the animal’s head. The tip is slightly narrowed, it becomes bigger in the neck area.
Draw short and slightly curved chameleon’s feet. Those limbs which are on the other side of the animal must be drawn a little bit shorter.
Chameleons spend a lot of time on the trees. Draw a branch beneath in order not to make our animal hang in the air. You can draw it not using your ruler, the branches are usually irregular, they can be hand drawn.
The end of chameleon's feet
Chameleon clings to a branch with the help of its feet. Draw its feet in such a way to show that the animal is clinging to the branch.
We start drawing its muzzle. Chameleon’s eye is big and round.
Draw the animal’s smile. By the way, the animal really looks like as if it’s smiling.
Draw a pattern with the help of straight line on the animal’s top. The line smoothly goes into a nose.
Crest on its back
Draw a small crest on its back which goes from the neck to the tail.
Draw slightly curved strips on the chameleon’s body.
