Size and shape
The main and largest part of the helicopter is the fuselage. It accommodates the crew, passengers and cargo. The shape of the fuselage is oval. Draw an oval in the center of the sheet to make the drawing look proportionate and beautiful.
The tail is one of the most basic parts of the helicopter. Thanks to it, the flying machine can keep balance and direction.
Draw it long. By the end it narrows.
Erase the lines and draw the contours.
Unnecessary lines should be removed. We don’t need them anymore during the drawing process.
At this stage, the pattern resembles a large spoon.
Base for the rotor.
Draw a base-holder at the top of the fuselage. It consists of three semi-circular figures of different size. The rotor is attached to it.
The rotor and the rack.
Use the ruler to draw two straight lines. They must be in the cross direction. The helicopter can rise and stay in the air with the help of this propeller. Attach the rotor in the center using a semicircular figure. Look as it’s shown in the picture.
To iron “bird” could successfully land, use special racks that are attached to the bottom of the helicopter.
The shape of the rotor and the end beam.
The shape of the propeller’s parts must be made of parallel lines. On top of the tail, draw the end beam.
Make a clear outline of the picture.
On the edges of the the end parts of tail are located stabilizers. These small details help to keep balance.
A helicopter cannot exist without windows and doors. People have to get inside of it and watch what is happening around. Draw a big oval door and a wide window for the crew.
The drawing is ready!
We have drawn the main elements. Now offer your child to show creative imagination and color the helicopter. To do this, he or she can use any color. We offer to choose bright colors because the helicopter is for children.
