Atum is one of the oldest Egyptian gods. He was a head of the heliopol ennead, the nine major gods in Ancient Egypt. He is a God of the sun and the demiurge. According to the Heliopolis myth, Atum, “who has created himself by himself”, is originated from the primordial chaos – Nun together with the pristine hill, he was identified with it. He gave birth to the gods-twins, spitting them out of his mouth, they created the earth and the sky. It’s said so in Egyptian mythology. Also he is considered to be the Creator of the Universe. Atum is the father of the gods and the father of the pharaohs. His sacred animal was cobra.
