Many people have a cat at home. And some of them have more than one cat. These furry creatures become almost part of the family. And if the pet is not next to you, you start missing it.
If you have a cat, the child will want to learn how to draw this cute animal.
You can also interest your child by telling him or her the following facts:
- Cats can produce about 100 different sounds. We just don’t always distinguish them.
- In Ancient Egypt cats were honored so much that they were buried in the same way as people were.
- The most famous cat in the world is the Cheshire cat from “Alice in Wonderland”.
Well, now let’s start drawing. Good luck!
Body
Draw an oval on the sheet of paper; it’s the body of our kitten.
Head
Next to the left, covering the part of the oval, draw a circle. This will be a head.
Tail
Draw the tail below with the help of two lines; it’s pressed to the body.
Adjusting the contours
Now erase the unnecessary lines of the tail and correct the contours.
Ears
Two small pointed triangles represent the ears.
Add two more triangles inside the ears.
Muzzle
Start drawing the animal’s muzzle. Draw a small nose in the center of the head.
Draw the mouth at the bottom. Draw semicircles from the tip of the nose to the left and to the right.
Draw the eye. Our cat is sleeping that’s why its eyes are closed.
Don’t forget about whiskers. They are one of the principal organs of orientation in space for cats.
Back
Correct the back and draw a line on the tail.
Fur
Draw the outlines of the legs, add hair on the head.
Partially erase the oval, add a couple of hairs on the head.
The last details are the hair on the legs.
Coloring
The kitten is ready for coloring. You can color it in gray as it’s shown in the picture but don’t forget that there are cats of different colors in the world. You can be creative and add spots on the back, for example.
