Draw the auxiliary lines. It will be easier for you to draw the details in such a way.
Draw an open bud on the top of the vertical line. It looks a little bit like a tulip, only the petals are sharp.
Add the petals to the bud, they are of different lengths and end with a small serration.
Draw the second layer of petals.
Draw another layer at the bottom in order to make the carnation look voluminous.
It’s thin. Draw it in such a way to make the vertical line be inside.
Right side sprout
A side sprout goes from a stem. It’s thinner and shorter.
Draw small leaves along the whole stem.
Add an unopened bud to the small stem.
Left side sprout
Draw another bud on the left side, but the carnation is half opened now.
Correct the drawing
The last detail is two petals on the main flower. Don’t forget to erase the extra lines.
The flower is ready. Color it in red and pink colors, color the stem and the leaves in green color.
